A double-door design provides more surface area for mounting operating components, but cutouts on both doors must still be planned around internal components and center structural elements. Displays, pushbuttons, indicator lights, and viewing windows should not be placed too close to hinges, locks, center seams, or sealing edges to avoid compromising door rigidity and sealing fit.

When mounting heavier equipment on either door, evaluate door weight, hinge capacity, and latch compression individually. Ensure sufficient cable slack when doors are open, using flexible cabling, cable clamps, or routing accessories to prevent strain on connectors. Internal components and wiring from both sides must not collide when the doors are closed.

Position viewing windows to align with internal meters or displays, ensuring center mullions do not obstruct the line of sight. If equipment on one side requires frequent monitoring, concentrate viewing windows on that side to minimize unnecessary door openings. Detail all door cutouts and accessories on final drawings and verify the protection rating based on the complete enclosure setup.
