Double-door enclosures suit functional zoning. You can place incoming power, power distribution, or power supplies on the left, and controllers, communication modules, terminals, or maintenance components on the right. Frequently operated devices can sit behind their corresponding door to avoid opening the entire cabinet.
Partitioning requires more than just equal space. Consider device weight, heat output, cable routing, and operational workflow. Mount heavy equipment where support is adequate, avoid concentrating heat-generating parts on one side, and place terminal blocks near cable entry/exit points. If routing cables across sides, reserve wire holes, raceways, or cable trays.
For independent maintenance, evaluate center dividers or internal partitions; for shared access, ensure center mullions or door frames do not block equipment. Confirm the final layout using both general arrangement drawings and door cutout drawings.
