During transport and lifting, large electrical enclosures experience different stress states than during normal installation. Verify enclosure dimensions, weight, center of gravity, access routes, vehicle sizes, and on-site lifting equipment before design. Lifting lugs, plinths, and forklift points must connect to the enclosure's reinforced structures, never directly to weak door panels or localized sheet metal.

If equipment is pre-installed inside the enclosure, transport weight and center of gravity will shift. Confirm whether internal devices require transit locking, doors need temporary bracing, or detachable accessories must be packed separately. For large waterproof electrical enclosures, protect seals and door panels from pressure, impact, or deformation during transit.

Prior to site installation, inspect foundation levelness, anchor points, access clearances, and door maintenance space. Floor-standing enclosures require verifying that plinths and foundations can bear the combined loads of the enclosure, equipment, and operations; wall or rack mounting requires checking anchor points and load capacity. After installation, verify enclosure verticality, door operation, grounding, and cable routing.
