Verify final drawings and configurations before delivery, including dimensions, door count, mounting holes, lifting points, plinths, cable entries, mounting plates, wire ducts, DIN rails, locks, hinges, gaskets, and grounding points. Acceptance must confirm sufficient internal space for operation and maintenance after equipment installation, not just external surfaces.

Structural checks focus on enclosure flatness, door sag, hinge operation, latch compression, reinforcement fastening, and base connections. For large waterproof electrical enclosures, emphasize door frames, removable panels, gland plates, and seals; for large weatherproof electrical enclosures, also inspect roof pooling, drainage, plinth elevation, and outdoor accessories.

If specific IP/NEMA ratings are required, verify that test records match the final delivered configuration. For enclosures with cutouts for displays, pushbuttons, fans, AC units, or connectors, empty-enclosure test reports are insufficient. If field cutouts, components, or cables are added later, update drawings and re-evaluate structural integrity, thermal management, and ingress protection.
