Stainless steel wall-mount IP68 electrical enclosures must simultaneously satisfy protection, load-bearing, and on-site operational requirements. Before design, confirm enclosure weight, internal equipment weight, wall material, bracket type, fixing points, mounting height, and door clearance.
During wall mounting, fixing points and connection holes between the enclosure and wall must be reliably sealed to prevent wall mounting holes, backplate holes, or fasteners from becoming water ingress paths. Cables can enter from the bottom, side, or rear, but different entry directions affect wall standoff, cable bend radius, and maintenance space.
If installed in damp, outdoor, or water-accumulating locations, verify wall drainage, bottom clearance, condensation, and surface treatment. Achieving IP68 for a wall-mount structure requires not just enclosure sealing, but also proper brackets, fasteners, cable glands, and installation conditions.
