Prior to fabrication, verify the general layout, equipment arrangement, aisle clearance, door locations, wall and roof structures, foundation interfaces, cable entries, lighting, climate control, grounding, and maintenance access. For large walk-in enclosures, confirm modular shipping methods and identify which components are factory-preassembled versus field-assembled.
During on-site installation, check foundation dimensions and levelness, then install the base, wall panels, roof panels, doors, and internal framing in sequence. Thoroughly inspect wall panel joints, roof seams, door frames, cable entries, and drainage areas. After moving equipment in, ensure aisles remain clear of cables, brackets, or temporary tools.
Acceptance covers structural, electrical, environmental, and safety aspects. Structural inspection checks dimensions, doors, flooring, supports, and anchoring; electrical covers equipment installation, grounding, cabling, and terminals; environmental verifies ventilation, lighting, climate control, and ingress protection; safety verifies door locks, warnings, barriers, emergency exits, and personnel access protocols per project specs. Any subsequent retrofits adding equipment, partitions, or cutouts require drawing updates and re-evaluating internal aisles and safety conditions.
