When installing an IP45 enclosure, verify the orientation, door clearance, base or bracket, cable entry, and drainage against drawings. Drilling new holes, enlarging cutouts, or using mismatched cable glands on site can compromise the original protection level.

During maintenance, check gaskets for aging or displacement, ensure doors seal tightly, inspect locks and hinges, and verify cable glands are secure and vents are unclogged. If doors, viewing windows, buttons, or connectors are removed, confirm seal integrity after reassembly.

If displays, pushbuttons, fans, or new cable entries are added during use, re-evaluate all cutouts, seals, and overall assembly. IP45 protection applies to the complete assembled product, not just the factory enclosure structure.
