Once recessed enclosures are installed within walls or machinery, rear and side airflow can be restricted. If internal equipment includes power supplies, controllers, communication modules, or other heat-generating parts, verify power consumption, ambient temperature, and allowable temperature rise in advance.

Natural convection, fans, heat sinks, and other thermal management solutions influence enclosure depth, door panels, wall cutouts, and IP ratings. For windowed recessed enclosures, also ensure the window and door construction do not impede internal heat dissipation.

Cable entries must account for in-wall routing, cable orientation, bend radius, and future maintenance. For rear or side entry, verify adequate in-wall clearance; for bottom entry, ensure the bottom plate, trim frame, and drainage design are fully compatible.
